So I got my C.T.A.C in yesterday and it looks great. I love the click when the gun is holstered and unholstered. I decided that I would try carrying the 30 for the first time last night. Wow...it's fat and I am skinny. Granted, I haven't purchased my gun belt yet and I need to go clothes shopping to get some larger shirts. I did drop the CTAC a little lower and it conceals better. I won't have any problems with an over shirt, so winter carry will be fine. But summer carry is going to be a bit more difficult. The smartcarry for the Glock is pretty much useless...gun's too fat. It works well with the Kahr K9.

I felt like a girl in front of the mirror last night trying on different outfits.

I always want tips!

Welcome to carrying :)

Yes the Glocks are VERY thick firearms. I carry the glock 26 in a CTAC holster. I'm still waiting on my gun belt from looper leather.

My Kahr MK9 disappears in my smart carry.

Let me know if you want any tips.

I've carried a 30 in a C-Tac for years. Good gunbelt and size-larger pants are the key.

I am 5'11", 180 and I've been amazed at how well my Glock 30 disappears in my MTAC. I had to play around with the angle and such, and I also ended up trimming the bottom of the holster body (it was long enough for my G-21) for comfort.

Yes there are shirts that it won't work with, but under a big casino shirt or a slightly large and bloused tuck shirt it works for me.

Now if only I could an MTAC for my AMT Backup .45...
