Like what most have commented, chances are that your G19 is a gen 2. With regards to finish, all Austrian made GLOCKs since gen 1 all go through a tennifer treatment/process then finished with a black coating. Gen 1 and 2 are a dull phosphate finish. Gen 3 is a Teflon like finish. Gen 4 and current are cross between the dull phosphate and Teflon like (closer in texture/appearance to the dull phosphate).anyone know what the slide finish was on the first gen Glocks ?? I don't think it was the tennifer finish ?? but not sure
I have seen people nickel and chrome the slide, but what about re-bluing one ??
Is there some reason those are your only 2 options? Neither are very good options for a Glock in my opinion. To each their own I suppose.I don't want a spray on finish, either parkerize or blue are my options
I see this with all the Glocks, people call it a Gen 1 for the first year it came out. I have seen more than one Gen 1 G21 for sale on gun broker.I almost guarantee you its not a gen 1. People mistake it time after time for whatever reason.
Actually, I discovered a little secret that the mobile apps allow you to edit the title.I don't see how I can go back and edit it now ??
You'll typically look like less of a jerk when you make a mistake, if you are courteous and polite on a day to day basis, just saying....damn my bad it should read 17, no idea why i would have typed that ?
I don't see how I can go back and edit it now ??
It's a G17 everybody, I'm a moron .....lol
Yes they do !I almost guarantee you its not a gen 1. People mistake it time after time for whatever reason.
The true gen 1 G19 is very rare and sell for big bucks.
