Thanks for the report - I reported this last night around 9pm to our server company, hopefully they will get to the root cause to prevent it in the future!
    Thanks for your patience.

Slow is the new normal. Especially slow when trying to edit or when liking a post.
Almost as if the database needs some indexing. It's also spending a lot of time with scripting. Almost 3/4 of the load/render time!

Is it possible for a user to turn off the content on the right side (photos, articles and latest replies)? Loading all those avatars for latest replies seems pretty database intensive.

RV site and porn site running slow too. Frustrating. Going to force me to go out and get some fresh air and exercise!

I notice "Photos" no longer showing in the upper right, over Articles and Recent Posts. Site seems faster. The right margin is also clear on the New Posts. Faster there as well.

The load speed is usually "ok" at day time from my neck of the woods, slows down at night and sometimes on weekends. I ran a few tracerts, the bottle neck seems to be at Level 3, close to your data center.

The other day my ad blocker process quit and I had to navigate through the site with all those ads. The site was EXTREMLY slow and lagged my entire computer down (which is no slouch, i7, 16 GB ram, SSD).

To be honest, if I'd have to deal with that much clutter, lag, ads and popups loaded everywhere on a daily basis, I'd be long gone.

I understand, GlockTalk is a business and has to make a profit, but I can't fathom how this is making good money. I assume that most members block the ads, and those who get to see them all the time, probably hate them with their guts and wouldn't click on them if their life depended on it.

Why not run fewer but better ads? Some with more community involvement and more variety?

How long are those Chevrolet ads running now? 3 or 4 years? Makes me wonder how many GT members have bought a Chevy truck because one day they said to themselves: "Screw it, I saw that a million times now, I'll go buy a damn truck. Maybe then they'll leave me alone!".

You have at times even 3 ads blocking each other, and leaving almost no room for content, and on-top of that mess the Newsletter pop-up. If people don't engage in your newsletter, set the browser cookies to once a month and not every day. You are just pissing people off.

Most porn sites are not that bad.

Just some feedback.. for what its worth..

We run fewer ads for every level of the site. Guests view the most, logged in see 25% fewer ads, and premium users see none.

The popup for the newsletter only triggers after ever 4 page loads - could be better, but the idea is getting ready to roll out.

I've been experiencing the same slowness for weeks. Especially the likes take upwards of 5 seconds to acknowledge.

I don't mind the Glock ad surrounding the site but even with a 24" monitor and the highest resolution possible they still go behind the border on each side. Can it be trimmed to fit?
