Well, the quiet professional got his 15 minutes of fame, and now his family has to worry about it.

Didn't his dad make the announcement a while back that the Islamists are welcome to come and get some?

Probably, but that was stupid. If his son caps some that make the attempt, then they will just go after his family. Wasn't it Bush 43 who said 'we have to be right every time to prevent an attack, a terrorist has to be right once' or something to that effect. That is a hell of a ratio to bet your families life on.

If the guy is a motivational speaker, he shouldn't be too hard to find. How many bystanders can they kill when they go after him?

I think this particular piece of propaganda is supposed to incite outrage. Why is no one acting outraged? Is no one taking the undercover research of this celebrity gossip tabloid seriously? What's wrong with you people!!!??

So, this spokesman for terrorists is trying to talk someone else into doing it. I'm not surprised.

Due to the hyper liberal Department of State importing Muslims into this country by the tens of thousands, eventually some of these "death cult" ISIS scum are going to begin to conduct terror operations on US soil.

This publishing of the SEALs address is just a beginning. With that said, this is a two way street.

Patriotic Americans are going to get fighting mad when ISIS starts its crap here. I will not be surprised at all when suspected terrorists start ending up dead, simply vanish or are found being eaten by hogs.

There is a whole generation of guys who have fought in the Middle East, with rules of engagement that often prevented them from finishing the fight and totally annihilating the enemy. That frustrated and pissed off a whole bunch of people.

Here on home turf, and taking matters into their own hands, I can see small groups of guys (and gals) waging war in a manner that middle eastern jihadists are not at all used to seeing from Americans.

Water boarding will seem like a polite conversation.

The punch line is that when ISIS starts poking the grizzly in the cage, don't be surprised when Mr Grizzly says "enough" and mauls the antagonists into shreds.

Given the current massive political swing towards socialism in this country, I am inclined to believe that it will be the "non governmental organizations" that decide enough is enough..

That's why Navy SEALs should keep their mouth shut. However, that seems too much to ask for.

The interesting thing is I remember reading an article that the man who actually popped him first is not one of the two that have talked.

He is probably perfectly happy using them as a destraction.

I seem to recall that as well. Their family lives in a small town in Montana where everyone knows everyone... and a majority are armed and hunt. I think any stranger in town would get noticed pretty quickly. At any rate, anyone can be caught off guard, even a former Navy Seal. I hope nothing happens to him.

O'Neil is the one who claims to have killed him (that's who this is about). He is allegedly the point man who shot him in the head. "Mark Owen" ( I forget his real name, but he authored No Easy Day)... claims in his book he shot him a few times in the chest as he was in his death throes on the floor, after he was shot by the point man.

The Navy went to a lot of trouble to keep the names of the SEALS on that operation secret, and this guy decided to go public, announce that he shot Bin Laden and actually do a speaking tour about it.

I'm surprised it took this long for ISIS or another radical group to do this.

In the immortal words of Tony Soprano, "Never forget the three S's - Shoot, Shovel and Shut up!"

O'neill retired and outted only himself. No other names have ever been mentioned. I don't see a problem with that. I'm pretty sure he was aware of the potential threat from terror groups. He said he was at the 9/11 memorial and the announcement just kind of happened.

Everyone in this thread seems to be ragging on him, I think they guy is a friggin hero and has served his country in the highest possible way... Far more than I ever did in the military.

I guess if we have ISIS here trying to decide what to attack, I would rather they try their luck at retired SEALs than a gun free zone...

I think if I were O'neill, I would see if I could interest a few of my friends from DEVGRU to maybe work ambush.

No, the beginning was when he was stupid enough to brag about it and use it for profit. Anything that comes after is a consequence of his own actions.

if anyone where to be serious about killing isis folks here, all they'd have to do is actually target single muslim men. its not hard to figure out they are.

When Obama met with the team that took OBL down, Obama asked who pulled the trigger. The response was "we all did sir". That didn't last long.

I wonder how his speaking gig is going?

This is a self created situation for him if true. You would figure someone who obviously understands the magnitude of that mission would have foreseen this.
