I want to purchase a silenced 9mm platform. I want to go with Advanced Armament's Evolution suppressor, but I can't decide on the pistol. Narrowed down (mostly) between the Glock 19 and the H&K USP.

Anyone with experience care to offer pros and cons for the pistol choice? I have several Glocks and love them. I don't have any H&K pistols, but I'd be fine adding one to the stable. I just want to tap the collective knowledge here at GT to make sure I am fitting the best pistol (within reason) to the best suppressor.

    Thanks!!

I would say Glock for the simple fact that the Glock is more affordable compared to a HK,... but they are nice a good friend of mine went with the HK and I went with a Glock 19 & a Omega can !!! SoundTech also makes a great Hush puppy add on. But for all around FUN IMO go with the Glock. My friend wishes he would have went with a Glock now after shooting mine. the wait for my Can was only 5 weeks this time !!! always wanted a Silent 9mm kinda ruff finding Subsonic ammo round hear for it but thank goodness for gun shows..

Both are good guns. I would normally choose Glock over HK but the 9mm USPSD is set up pretty nice for a suppressor. No, I still like the 19. Get a threaded barrel and go for it.

I think you can get a USP with a factory treaded barrel. You can't do that with the glock...

Buy a Lone Wolf barrel threaded in .5x28 and choose the black finish. Its $129.00 and looks like a factory glock barrel would if they existed.

I have both hosts... a G19 and a HK USP9SD. To me, the HK is the primary host BUT you can't get a 33rd mag for the USP! Picture your suppressed G19 with a 33mag hangin out the bottom:faint:

Any reliability issues with the G19 and a "can"?

Which one shoots best for you? Find a range with a rental USP and bring your Glock 19 and shoot them side by side. I find the USP has a noticeably different grip angle than the Glock does. Decide which you like better, and suppress that one.

How about a G26 (or in this instance, a G27 with a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel).
