17/20 round mags beat 15. The rotary barrel makes the 9mm have even less of a recoil impulse than it already does.

I think the SP2022 is one of the most under-rated pistols on the market. I don't know of anyone who bought one and didn't like it. Check out Sigforum, lot's of good info on them.

My vote on Sig Pro. Last chance to get them right now.

Beside that thin barrel blued job (and maybe that lesser than smooth decocker), Sig pros are outstanding for the money and well worth of Sig's name. I can't say the same for other Sig's current productions.

The Sig Pro has been a consistent good performer ever since it came out. You never hear any negatives on the Sig Pro over on Sig Forum. The only reason I'm selling mine is because I do not like the fat grip.

The one that I had (it was actually a 2340) had the least durable finish I have ever seen on a firearm. Accuracy was OK and reliability was never an issue but it never felt good to me. The grip was not comfortable and the hammer and deocler seemed cheap and flimsy to me. The hammer was slippery when trying to cock it with my thumb.

I would not call it a POS but it was by far not one of my favorite pistols.

I was shooting my USP and G22 the same day I shot my buddy's 2022. Didn't recall the 2022's grip being fat. But consider the two ladies it was compare to...

I'm not saying it's the best gun out there, I think it's a good gun for the $ and highly under-rated. Well worth owning IMO.

I owned the 2022 just for thee days!
the worst gun I have ever had.
She fire fine, good groups, nice trigger... but she is not a tactical-combat gun!
I love other SIG!... my favorite gun is 226 over all!

Beretta has a great ergonomics... and is very nice to shoot.

    I vote for Px4! (or a good old G19/17)

I really like the PX-4 EXCEPT for it's slide mounted safety. Never shot a Sig Pro but have heard nothing but good things.
If the safety doesn't bother you I promise you will love the PX-4.

I have a 2340 and a 2022 and they are fine shooting guns. Any gun that is fired and carried will have marks on the finish. Yes, most Sigs are not small but they shoot well and are reliable. The Px4 Beretta is supposed to be nice but I have not shot one yet.

Are they both new? Around here, the Sig is much less expensive than the Beretta. If both new, then I would go with the Beretta. Also, in case you didn't know, the B comes in three or four variants, one without a safety/decocking lever.

I had read somewhere that the 2022 was slated to be discontinued in the near future. Don't know for sure - perhaps someone else can comment. If so, it's most likely not an issue, as one would expect Sig to continue to support the platform even after they stop making it....

There have been rumors of the SP2022 being discontinued for years. About 6 months ago, SIG got a very large contract for the Colombian government.

I own a SIG Pro and have owned a 9mm PX4. I definitely prefer the former but would love to own a PX4 again.

Both are excellent. I think it comes downs to what fits your hand the best. Even though both have exchangeable back straps, they will feel differently in your hand.
