I am working on a 9mm carbine build. I am thinking I want a red dot on it. I want one that has a motion on off option. I am thinking of the sig ROMEO 5. Anyone have one, had one, etc.? Any good, or crap?

I have on on a Ruger PC Carbine, it’s been soldd for plinking, no issues in the first six months. The motion on off is nice, but sucks for a truck gun as the vibrations constantly activate the sight...

I have four of them on ARs. They are excellent. The Auto-Wake function works perfectly. Watch Brownells for a sale if you aren't in a hurry. I have seen them for $ 119 with free shipping.

I have one and love it. You can't go wrong with this red dot - especially for the price.

Yeah I was looking on there as well. The thing that makes me hesitate about ebay is there is so much airsoft crap on there that looks like the real deal. Then there is a big Looooooooong description and somewhere in that description that is easily overlooked it will say for airsoft one time. If they even do that.

I have one on one of my ARs. It’s held up great so far. I’ve seen some torture test done on them and they hold up as good as an aimpoint.

Currently on sale at Palmetto State Armory for $119. 99 and Brownell's for $124.99, both with free shipping.

Very nice crisp 2 MOA dot that does not starburst at higher intensity settings. When it wakes up with motion, it comes on at the last set intensity.

Extremely long advertised battery life. Comes with a lower 1/3 co-witness riser for ARs and a short low mount for rifles like the Ruger 10/22, or to mount on the accessory rail of an AKM.

Cue the Aimpoint fans to come on and tell us if we trust our lives to anything but an Aimpoint, we are fools.

No worries there - Sig does not make airsoft red dots.

I'm really digging my new Holosun, but that looks like a good sight for almost half the price.

I just got a Romeo5 last week from PSA for 129.99 for what I thought was a good deal...figures they're even cheaper now! I really like it so far. Like others have said, it doesn't seem to starburst as much as some of the other dots I have, the controls are good, and the motion on/off is nice.

Might just have to order another for $119.99.

Active Junky is doing 6% back right now for PSA, 8% for Brownells and 10% Cabelas, as well as a lot of other sites.

If your new to Active Junky, you can use my link to join:
    https://www.activejunky.com/invite/1700433
and you will get $10 back after your 1st $25 purchase and so will I. :highfive:

So if you join Active Junky and order from PSA, the Romeo5 ends up only costing $102.80.:drunk:

Nor do they make these things.

The Chinese Company that’s making these sights for Holosun and SIG had come a long way since three years ago.

I put a HS510C on a steel challenge RFRO. I really like it. The "motion wake" and solar power work really well. The circle + dot is pretty close to my EOTech on my PCC (Steel/USPSA/IDPA) gun.

But contrary to their literature, it doesn't fit a weaver rail properly, so I had to change the QR mount with a allen head cap screw and an elastic stop nut.

I got mine at $219 at an Optics Plant sale, I should have bought two (2). Manventure Outpost has them for $219m but they are never in stock. I friend has bought several from MVO, but I haven't had any luck with them.

I noticed that. One reason I thought maybe the ones I saw that on were airsoft. That plus the ones that didnt have made in china in the desciption were around $100 more

Holosun is advertising “military grade” sights now. They’re in the $300 range.

Soon they will be a true cheaper alternative to Aimpoint, Trijicon and Meprolight.
