This is not a joke, or fake news. Considerable discussion today on the various Sig forums that Sig has temporarily halted production of the P365 to iron out some problems that have been reported and apparently confirmed by Sig. Interesting that some guns are evidencing misaligned barrels causing damage after only a 100 or so rounds. Sig had no announcement as to when production might be restarted. I’m guessing Sig rushed this thing into production without adequate testing.

This is exactly why we shouldn’t rush to buy a new release right away. Wait a year or so until the inevitable bugs are worked out.

Hmmm. I'm not a Sig fan but find this a bit disturbing.
Lots of folks jump on every band wagon they can find, then deny any shortcoming of the wagon. That means a lot of substandard weapons could be out there, in use, and not repaired, if there is a repair. Subjecting the users to possible malfunction or catastrophic failure.

This is what happens when they don't take the time to fully test it. If it is doing it after 100 rounds why didn't this show up sooner. This is why a brand new gun is not a good idea- need to wait a few months.

The enhanced version of the P365 will probably contain any needed revisions and QC process refinements.

Probably keeping them busy, though, coming on the heels of the P320 refinements for all the previously sold guns. uttahere:

The p365 will for sure have some hiccups, but that's typically what happens when new concepts are introduced. I'm just excited that the p365 is raising the bar, and hopefully other gun companies take note and innovate (looking at you, Glock.)

Man...I don't know. I manage a team of product managers. If they rolled out product that had teething problems, they'd be looking for another job. Those issues cost companies significant revenue. The maximum failure rate I'll accept is 3%....and people aren't staking their life on the product we make.
