honestly that one isn't very good; all heat, no flavor, and a lingering chili powder taste i'm not fond of (i think it must be made more for cooking). on other hand, his scorpion sauce is as good as tabasco's; both in heat & flavor. .02

wow, valentina. God I used to damn near drink that crap working in the ghetto. I would go to the corner store (bodega) and for $2 get a 1L bottle, yes a liter of hot sauce, add another buck fifty for a newport 100 loosey and can of arizona mucho mango. hand the man $5 and still get change!!

yellow and black label but I liked the black. ain't nothin better than valentina on good real authentic mexican food... the kind you need to have someone else call the order in cuz ya cant speak a lick of spanish... good times... and food.... still keep a bottle handy, but the yellow label these days. it sure is a distinct flavor.

These days I rock dirty dicks, it's tropical flavor, very good, nice amount of heat. I also really like secret aardvark, they make a green habanero sauce that is good, especially on eggs, if a bit salty.

I don't care for Tobasco (although the Habanero isn't bad) or Sriracha - Louisiana is my "go to".

I also have, and like, Valentina, Cholula and Dave's Ghost Pepper (So Hot it's Spooky).

Can you compare the Old Bay hot sauce to another brand?

I haven't had it, but I use Old Bay dry seasoning in NOLA "BBQ" shrimp mix.

Been on a Texas Pete kick lately. But keep Frank's and Tabasco on hand in case the mood strikes.

I like some hot sauce. Franks, tobasco... but much milder today. When cooking for myself I mix it in.
Some spicy mustards as well. Wife like sweet baby ray’s BBQ. I dislike it. But you adjust.

I put several HARD dashes of Dave's Ghost Pepper in my smoked hot wing marinade/sauce.

Beware of the man with only one sauce.

When it comes to food, I'm a cheap, tasteless slut. So I like the vinegar-intensive crap like Crystal, Louisiana and Red Devil. Tabasco's good too, but we rarely get it, I guess partly because it's so ubiquitous at restaurants. It's nice to have a default that you're not burnt out on.

Not hot sauce (like them all). However, this is the hottest cheese I have ever eaten in my life - love it!

I like all the usual sauces. Franks, Tabasco, Tapatio, Chalula, etc. But my favorite all around hot sauce has to be Gringo Bandito from The Offspring vocalist Dexter Holland. Seriously good on pretty much everything.

I grew up with Tobasco, but when I discovered Texas Pete, Tobasco lost it for me. Unfortunately, Texas Pete is kind of hard to find in California. I had a store I used to visit just to pick up Texas Pete - the store was about 70 miles from my home, but unfortunately, they have gone out of business.

Some of the hot sauces I enjoy: Huy Fong Sambal Olek, Texas Pete, Huy Fong Sriracha, Kumana Avocado Hot Sauce, Hot Avocado SoCal Guac Sauce, Sauce & Jak Jeckel Tocino de Feugo - Fiery Spanish Bacon sauce, El Yucateco Black Label Reserve Hot Sauce, Georgia Peach and Vidalia Onion Hot Sauce....

    Tabasco, Crystal, Cholula, and Sriracha.

    Crystal for general use.

    Sriracha for Asian food.

    Cholula on tacos and pizza.

I have to be in the mood for Tabasco. I don’t always prefer it. But It’s the only suitable hot sauce for egg, sardines, and oysters.

Never knew old bay had a hot sauce. I’m always willing to try a new sauce out. I’ll have to try and source some.

TBO has a thread about it. You can get it on amazon, for a king’s ransom.

This is what's out for daily use. I've got some really hot stuff for cooking and some Sriracha as well.
