I normally carry my CW in a belt or IWB holster on my strong side. Due to nerve damage from years of LE work I have been thinking of maybe going to a shoulder holster. Do you have any experience with shoulder rigs? If so can you recommend one that you use. I will be carrying either a Glock 26 or 27, maybe a 23.

Key thing with the shoulder rig is going to be a comfortable, figure-8 harness that doesn't put straps across the back of the neck. I've long been partial to the old style upright (butt up and forward) designs such as the classic Bianchi X15, but you can get amazing speed out of a straight horizontal rig, like the Galco or the Rosen Stylemaster. That style conceals particularly well with a short pistol such as the G27. I can only give short answers here in GATE; the Gun Digest Book of Concealed Carry goes into much greater depth on shoulder holsters.

    best,
