I am at a quandry, should I sell my Glock 17 gen 3 that I bought in May in order to buy a Glock 26? I like the Glock 17, but the Glock 26 gen 3 is like a sexy cheerleader and would make a good ccw choice. Or, should I continue hiding money from my wife until I can afford it in 6 months or so. I paid 529 + fees and taxes for the Glock 17. How much of a hit should I take if I sell the Glock 17?

Never sell a Glock 17. You'll end up selling it or trading it for less than you paid, then end up buying another one. I made this mistake. I advise you delay the urge for instant gratification, save up the $$$, and buy the 26 in six months. You'll then have a 17 & 26.

+1 on keeping the 17 and saving up for the 26. You will have the 26 before you know it. I sold my 22 7 years ago,I still regret it.

Keep hiding funds and buy the 26. My wife tells everybody that ask that (WE) have a Glock 9mm, little does she know (I) have 18 different Glocks.

Please, don't sell your Glock 17. It will be much more rewarding when you eventually get the money together and are able to get the 26. If you sell it there will come a time where you wished you still had it.

This overwhelming response just helped me make up my mind. I will just keep hiding funds from the wife. No more runs to Carl's Jr. for breakfast or lunch until I get my G26 in a few months. For now, I will have to do with Glock porno on my computer.

Yes you should sell it to me. Ha ha

No, just save your money and own both.

Now, that wasn't so hard.

17 and 26 is a very nice combo to have. I have them :)

Great range, home defense, and SHTF gun. And a great carry gun.

Just tell your wife I said you need both. Buy her an EMP.

You are making the right decision. You would definitely regret getting rid of your 17. I know its hard when you want something new, trust me. But then once you get it and the initial excitement wears off a little you will be kicking yourself for not just waiting. Ask me how I know this. lol
