I'm sitting here in my room, I had dozed off about 30 mins ago, and my roommate came up and excitedly knocked on my door. He went out with some buddies to Homedepot, and they bought $60 in 2x4's, 1x1s, and that orange construction/snow drift fence. they are (trying)making two hockey goals.

Now, they don't know what to do with the empty Twinkie wrappers after they eat the twinkie out of it, let along how to screw two pieces of wood together..

First they came up needing a drill (Mine is at home right now so I couldn't help them)

They drove over so someone else's house and got a drill.

Now they need drill bits.. sorry fellas i keep my bits with my drill (at home).

then someone came up looking for a screwdriver...

Now someone wants a pair of scissors..

I can hear them complaining about the beer they planned to drink while doing a manly DIY construction project. It was left in the car trunk, and it froze and is now "skunked, slushy, and undrinkable".

It kills me to not just go down there and throw it together in 10 mins!

But.. its so much fun listening to them struggle down there over nothing!

I figure its probably good for them to learn how to do this on their own..:fred:

*also, do not know why I decided to hyphenate "down-stairs"

Sounds like the amusement factor reinforces the lazy factor, and you make out best by exercising your smile muscles while giving your legs a rest.

    No, you should not.

If liquids inside of a trunk freeze in such a short amount of time, you do not need to be outside in that type of climate.

i like my beer and drinks just slightly into the slushy / frozen zone ..

and ive seen this many times,

the most entertaining was my friend with an old bronco, asked me to help him change his headlights or turn signals or something easy like that, i said i would help him, when i got back from winter break ,

well on my last day i get a call saying they are working on and they need my help .. so 2-3 hours later i get back into town from my vacation, they are still working on it, and they had been for a couple hours prior ..

so this is 5-6+ hours on a 10 minute job,

i back my truck up to his so i can have my tool box, and have it fixed in 10 minutes ..

    hah, nice!

    Update:

They were worried because they bought "dry wall screws" and didn't know if they would work in wood

$60 in 2x4's 1x1's and hazard fence? you sure they're not trying to build a UFC octagon or a house or something? Because that sounds like a heck of a lot of material to me for a couple hocky goals

It's always the dumb woman that GOES downstairs! She always ends up getting killed by the psychopath or the monster in the movies!
