I really don't care about the Olympics. Being from mostly-snowless areas, I definitely don't care about winter sports in the Olympics. But considering the sports that have Olympic presence that I don't care about, I started to wonder what other sports had a shot at the Olympics. What sports are native to my area that could one day show up? Then I realized: The Olympics need an automotive division. We already have marksmanship, which relies on machines. Perhaps an automotive Olympics would look different than driving or modifying mass manufactured cars. Maybe it would be simpler, car-like machines that focused on some aspect of finesse and skill in the driving act itself. If it was actual cars, well, approaching it as a team of competitors isn't unheard of, though I suppose a team of competitors with diversified skills is. Is there room for it? How would it work?
