I saw this question on another site today and had asked it myself on another gun forum in 2009.

Many varied answers pro and con. I am wondering how GT feels about the proposal a fifth of the way into the 21st Century.

This Question assumes one is of age with no legal or mental restraints and to be able to carry on person in the passenger compartment on Domestic flights.

All contributions and votes are appreciated.

Yes, but only if they are 6'4" or taller, have gray hair and green eyes.

Those people should also fly free, too. First class. Always first class.

No one else should be allowed to carry a gun on a plane.

You get a comfort animal that makes you feel safe, I get a Glock G45. Sounds fair.

Will it fit in the overhead bin??

I voted no...because I'd get upset when some jack-hat steals my overhead bin space.

Kinda moot. On most domestic flights I’ve been on the last 15 years, there isn’t enough space to draw a gun, let alone fire it without wanton disregard for innocent lives.

I’ll vote no on this one. It’s regulated space, I don’t have a problem with it also being a secured space. One unfortunate incident on a plane involving some idiot and his gun and we stand to lose bigly. The risk / benefit analysis fails.

Nothing could go wrong with a window depressurizing.

Wait...wasnt a woman sucked out a plane not too long ago?
