A new frontrunner for Understatement Of The Month:

    ----------------------
"These large events have been grounds for tension among certain groups," said the Rev. Leon Kelly, who runs Open Door Youth Gang Alternatives.
    ----------------------

A mixture of large crowd, chemically impaired perception, rap music, gang attendance, and people spoiling for conflict: what can go wrong there?

According to the news report, the shooter wasn't a hippie.

drunks, meth/coke/crackheads are prone to violence. pot heads are prone to eating, sleeping and saying..."i love you dude". :wavey:

I wonder if any of these people realize they have chosen Adolf Hitlers birthday as the day to celebrate pot smoking?

I can't help but suspect that the whole 4/20 thing was probably started by skinheads, and the rest of the potheads don't know it because they flunked history - mostly due to having smoked pot at lunch every day.

For true stoners 4:20 is a time of day, not a day of the year.

    It's both.

Ever since high school I've been visiting what we called "The 420 bench". It's a bench in a park in my town that we'd all meet to smoke at, at 420 after school everyday. I hadn't seen it in a couple years, and happened to be walking through the park the other day and saw abunch of highschool kids smoking weed at our bench. It warmed my heart knowing the new generation was carrying on our traditions.

Can't wait for this years hempfest.

They should've cut it off before the joint.

The story goes, a highschool in california would use "420" as code for smoking...as they would meet at 420 everyday. They would walk through the halls and spot a friend:

    Person 1: 420?
    Person 2: 420!

    And it spread from there.

Probably first hand experience? Because everything he said is true.

The only damage you're going to do as a pothead is to the snack drawer.

My friends and I years ago designated eachother colors because we were always stealing eachother's bics on accident.

    I'm the orange bic.

I must be old. We used to carry personalized flip top Zippo lighters. They sure made a joint smell good when you'd light one up. I still have mine just in case it becomes legal again to mellow out for a little while.
