I was gonna say, it's not like the ILS is keeping it from being a great gun.

Their QC sucks, canted barrels and all.

I completely disagree, all the whining and crying about canted barrels probably comes from a disenchanted minority. The internet gives crybabies a world wide forum to complain about. Canted barrels and horrors, MIM parts that are the same process as used in aerospace and space mission gear.

I've had 4 or 5 S&W 500 Mags, all of them have been superb revolvers. All have had excellent triggers and unblemished finishes.

Their new guns are made of stronger, superior materials held to higher standards. The old guns required extensive hand fitting. Why? Because the parts weren't uniform. CNC machining fixed a lot of that and all that hand fitting would have made the guns too expensive for the market.

The old guns would have been blown apart by the 500 and 460 Mags operating at 60-65,000psi. Think an old model 29 could handle that? What a laugher. Don

Well, here in an interesting little nugget.....

Colt launched their new Python early so as not to distract from the introduction at the SHOT Show of the new and improved Python II which is rumored to have a cylinder that actually turns.

    News flash....

    - Some company will introduce a new AR15, and another "new" AR pistol that takes glock mags.
    - Another company will introduce a new pocket 9mm pistol.
    - A company will introduce a another 10/22 clone.
    - Keltec will re-introduce their new P17 but it won't actually be available until the 2021 shot show...maybe.

    Here's a rumor...

Ruger will introduce a 9mm pistol the size and shape of their new model 57. It will be a longer 5" bbl target version with fiber optic sights and optics plate and the same type of trigger/action.

Guns I would put a deposit on today:
    A G23 gen 5 mos.
    A true G19 sized 45acp or 10mm.
    A Ruger GP100 5 round 44 magnum.

I'm sure we will never see it, but a new big bore Magnum auto loading pistol would be nice. The last one was the Automag V in 1991. We're looking at a 30 year span with nothing new in that segment of the market.

I had their 9mm and was not impressed with all the plastic everything.
My hammer (plastic) broke on the 3 rd round fired from the gun!
Sold it and not looking back.

One thing I would really like to see is a re-imagined version of Ruger's .44 carbine. Box magazine fed, composite stock

That I'd love to see too.
I've heard rumors of it for years, but I finally decided they were just playing with my emotions and gave up.
I would have bet a 41m would have a better chance than 44sp but they proved me wrong.

Really? I’m not sure I understand where they would be going with that.

I'm guessing it's along the same lines was Springfield's and S&Ws new competition type pistols i.e, longer barrels, optics ready.

Ruger's last variation of a 44 carbine was based on the Mini 14 platform. I'm guessing a better option would be a Mini in 450 Bushmaster or in 350 Legend. The problem is that Minis are crazy expensive these days so we aren't likely to see either when they can make cheap ARs in those calibers.

I'd like to start a rumor for an M1 Carbine clone chambered in 10mm with Glock mags.
