...wow. I don't know what all the talk of recoil is about. I swear it has less than my buddy's G22 I shot this summer. Rented one and shot it after firing about 25rds through my SIG P229 in .357SIG and 50 through my M92FS. Was using 180gr UMC and Seller & Belloit. Fired a little high for how I was holding, but still I was pleasantly surprised. Was using the flush fit mag with my pinky tucked under the baseplate. Think this all but sells me on the G33 for my new carry piece.

Yeah I know. I gotta be different...

It was a little rough for me to consider shooting it "enjoyable". I'm glad that you liked it however.

I don't consider the 27 recoil to be bad at all. Just shoot it and get used to it.

I love my G27. Not gonna fire 500 rounds in one day but it is a great piece and easy to carry. Recoil is nothing once you are use to it. I have the Pearce extension and it makes a big difference when holding it.

I find the comments about excessive recoil from the G27 to be exaggerated.

Glad you liked it. I have a G23 for my first and only firearm, and I'm thinking of getting a G27 next week some time.

Same here. The first time I shot a 27 was in a GSSF 90ish round outdoor match, using a borrowed 27 with police issued duty ammo. No problems at all and I've used my own 27 in a few IDPA matches since then. .40 just doesn't kick much in any gun unless you have no idea how to grip a pistol.

Mostly I think you are getting the "snappy recoil" comments from beginners.

Wow, harsh. I'm in no way a beginner and I shoot well, but I find the 27 a little "snappy" for my likings. I guess I have no idea how to grip a pistol...

Hand size is a factor in such situations as well, no matter what anyone says. I have small hands and I know this has a lot to do with it.

You don't have to tell someone they are a "beginner" if their opinion is different from yours buddy.

I agree recoil is a non-issue with the G27 and every other Glock
    I own whether they are 9mm, .40, .45 ACP or 10mm.

My now 19 yo son has been shooting them since he was a boy without
    any complaints of recoil either.

My 2 cents is that the G27 recoil isn't that bad compared to other.40 cailber handguns. Compared to the G26 or the G30 (although 30's got a larger build) it is noticable, but not by much.

I find the G27 pleasant to shoot.

I agree, I've got a g22 and 27 and I think my 22 kicks more than the 27, I wonder if the longer barrel on the 22 has something to do with it?

I shoot the G27 better than any other Glock also. Thats why its my carry piece.

The G27 was my first gun, still my daily carry, ten years going strong. The last possession I would sell besides my soul would be my Glock 27.

Agree, I think the 27 actually is more comfortable than some other 40's. Before I bought one I shot a 27 and a Sig P239 (40) side by side. I preferred the 27.
