Has anyone ever modified the grip of a g21 so it talkes g30 mags? I would think it's possible.
I would like to see the G21 with a shorter slide, along the lengths of the 23/19, and maintain the same grip style. Of all my Glocks, the 21 seems excessively long and blocky. Kind along the lines of the 1911 govt model down to the the commander length.
Some would say that would be your 30S, but I see it as a Commander sized 13+1 G21.
Buy a Glock 30
I actually have a 30S. It is a great "city gun". I'm looking for something to carry in the backcountry set up for 45 super or 460 rowland. Using the g30 mags and better concealment would be a plus.
The one Glock grip alteration I've been tempted to do is to shorten a G21's grip to take the ten round G30 mag, but with a standard floorplate. No, I haven't done it yet.
I have done a few, the 21 isn't very popular for grip chops. I have done tons of 17,22,23,19 chops. Here are a few pictures of a 23 and a 19 chop. The customer of the 23 wanted the pistol to retain a factory look. Essentially the same thing on the 21, the chop is performed and the mags are fitted to it.
Something like this? Second photo down. http://www.bowietacticalconcepts.com/pictures.html
Here is my G22 RTF that I cut down to a G27 grip. I also sanded off the RTF since it was too aggressive. That is why it has the "soft" texture look to it . I havent gotten up the courage to do it on my G21 yet . This was my first time ever doing this . This did get me a trip to the doctor's office for some stitches when the exacto knife when through my left finger LOL .
I have been wanting to do this to a g20 for a carry gun.
