I appreciate the responses. I am going to wait one more week to hear back from them before I initial contact. I am willing to see what they can/have done to fix it.

Just to note, they still have the frame and I have NOT PAID anything at this point. I am supposed to pay when the work is done.

I think I will propose this if they can’t rectify the issue:

They pay for a new frame from Glock. Once I receive the new frame they can either knock $150 off of their service to stipple my frame right, or compensate me $100 cash for ruining my matching serial numbers frame/slide and I’ll take my business elsewhere.

We all know that a lot of people (such as myself) will pay a slight premium for a FPF G19 over the used market value of a regular G19.

familyman357 I'd be more cynical, but my apathy prevents it.

Well, you're in for the ride now. Dude can't undo what he's done. The shop owner's attitude is crap, in my opinion, and playing nice hasn't gotten you anywhere. You have to decide whether to make a BIG stink about it now in the hope that he'll pay you off or wait until you get it in hand. At that point you can decide if you like it or if you'll want to dump it for whatever you can get.

Edit: I see that you're not really all that broken up about non-matching numbers. That's good.

You don't really have a leg to stand on regarding mismatched serials once you decided to alter the frame. That would only matter to you at that point since what you're doing is actually devaluing the pistol.

A frying pan finish Gen 4 19 is not all that common. Its a moot point now?

    Devaluation is a subjective perspective.

There are plenty of people out there willing to pay (more) for a used, stippled gun. Not that I have the intention of selling this specific pistol, but the possibility of selling it on the used market for what I have in or close to it, is possible.

So you never complain when someone rips you off. That’s why folks like you get ripped off.

"Custom" Unless you are doing it yourself (even then there are plenty of frame mistakes with dremels), you have to give some leeway to the artist. Life is full of mistakes.

At least it is not a tattoo:

You have hit a brick wall. Get it back and live with it-- you may actually change your mind and like it. Treat it as a lesson learned.

I will post them in time. I want to speak to them again first, before I go scorched earth.

As an aside, this is why I like the Shadow System MR920. All the benefits of a “custom” Glock but with a factory warranty and none of the hassle.

I’ll actually send it to Dom42 on here. Should have done that front get go,, but since they had the EXACT stippling and UC on a gun in their shop, it was “easy” to relay precisely what I wanted.
