I have my eye on a Boito 20ga O/U that's missing the extractors. No parts I could find in all the usual places.

Is it possible to shoot, say, a round of trap with no extractos/ejectors in an O/U? Do you have to knock out the shells with a dowel, or is it possible to pry them out pretty easily?

Looks like there's some space to get a fingernail under the rims in the space where the missing parts used to be. If I have to use a dowel, it's not worth the trouble.

If the chambers are clean, shells should fall out of them without any encouragement.

There was a time when European doubles and over-and-unders came standard without extractors.:wavey:

If it was me I would just fabricate a new set of extractors.
