Shipping gun to Hawaii?

    I am selling rifle on gunsamerica and the buyer is in Hawaii, will I have any problems selling it to him? Also, what will shipping cost?

    You have to ship it to an FFL via USPS, UPS or FEDEX. They each have their own rules for shipping. He has to be able to pruchase that firearm in accordance with federal and his state laws.

    You can weigh the gun and check with the various shipper's web sites to get an idea of the cost. Hawaii is more expensive that other states.

    Insurance is also expensive if it is an expensive rifle.

    I just spent 3 years there.

    Make sure he has the "permit to acquire a rifle" before he tries to pick it up from the FFL. Make sure he knows it's a two week wait to get the permit if he doesn't have one. If he doesn't have one he needs to go to the Police Station and register. If he has that you guys should be good to go.
