Anyone know any company that ships motorcycles? I moved and wanted to get my bike here but didn't know the best way to go about doing it, other than driving it up myself but for the hassle it might be easier to find a mover to do it? Any suggestions? Esox357

allied trucking moved mine from CO to MA. it took less than 7 days from the initial phone call and was about $700 insured for $20K. Forward air can do it for about $350 but you have to bring it to a forward air location (no fuel) crate it up and pick it up at a forward air location at the destination. I also think your talking about 30 days (I may be wrong) to do it this way

there are quite a few and they(IMO) are all very expensive and sometimes distance does not matter..tried 3 shipping places to ship a bike that was just 3 hours(160-180) miles away in the same state it was almost $600 it ranged between $542-605 depending on company. Punched in to ship it from Wisconsin to PA which is a LOT further and it was around $670...so only $100-120 difference to ship it 1/2 way across country than to ship it 150 miles? but it was that was in all 3 companies..something there is NOT right. on the same deal a guy at work said he would go get the one 150 miles away for $150(basicaly gas $$ and some of his time) so.....

ACA Transport is just about the cheapest that I've found. Last year they were running about $350 anywhere in the US. This year because of oil crude cost, they went up to $460. The thing about ACA is that they try to route your bike through their most convenient delivery routes so that they can save you money. That means you can get your bike in two weeks after they pick the bike up, or you can get your bike within three days. It's all depending on what routes they have in their schedule for your areas.

I am in the same boat, what states are you trying to ship it from? I need to ship my bike from NY to AZ in a month or two... so some info provided already has help but still think the price could be cheaper...

Leave a message, the guy will call back. Ever since his dispatcher retired, he's running a bit ragged.

Try uShip.com. You can post an ad and the shippers will bid on it.
