"New Yorker reporter Jane Mayer suggested in a new interview that she and Ronan Farrow reported on Deborah Ramirez's uncorroborated accusation of misconduct by Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh out of eagerness to show a "pattern" of such behavior.

The veteran journalist told Elle her recollections of the Clarence Thomas hearings, the treatment of Anita Hill by the Senate, and the public informed her judgment regarding Kavanaugh.

"So having watched this before, I knew that key issues would be whether the judge had a pattern of similar behavior, since that helps establish who is telling the truth when there is a standoff, and whether there were credible corroborators on either side," she said. "Knowing this is why Ronan Farrow and I were so alert to the significance of other accusers, such as Deborah Ramirez. Her allegation showed that, if true, yes, there was a pattern of misconduct, and likely another side of the judge."

New Yorker's Jane Mayer says, yes, she and Ronan Farrow jumped on Deborah Ramirez story in effort to show a pattern in Brett Kavanaugh sexual misconduct allegations"

Is this what a free and unbiased press looks like?
    They had me fooled.

    I see a pattern.

Pattern of lies by the left; pattern of political subterfuge.

The creepy porn lawyer brought the story to them! These new ‘journalists’ are so lazy they do not put much work into digging into a story to get it right. It’s all about the headline with this new generation of reporters.

    Exactly!
The objective is to ruin Trump, since he was responsible for a far less qualified candidate's inability to win an election that had been "bought and paid for".

The fault isn't in the inferior candidate and party platform, it lies with the winner, who wasn't supposed to win! She was promised!!!

Now I know why Bill Clinton chased other skirts, and looks the way he does, he has had to live with her!

So their "reporting" was based on suppositions which they either hoped or wanted to believe were true.

This is about as unethical as it gets.

"Journalists" (okay, they don't really deserve that title) like this should be flogged. :steamed:

Remember what Hunter S. Thompson said about journalism -

“I have no taste for either poverty or honest labor, so writing is the only recourse left for me.”

    And -

“The press is a gang of cruel *******. Journalism is not a profession or a trade. It is a cheap catch-all for ****offs and misfits—a false doorway to the backside of life, a filthy ****-ridden little hole nailed off by the building inspector, but just deep enough for a wino to curl up from the sidewalk and ********** like a chimp in a zoo-cage.”

Yeah -- as Mr. Thompson indicates, journalism was undoubtedly never a truly honorable profession.

But what it has become today would probably be unrecognizable to even the filth that Thompson describes... o_O

The pattern of Democrats being such obvious pathological liars that a half-bright child can accurately call them on their bull**** from a mile away.

    Yellow journalism at work?

To be fair, for some folks facts can be damned inconvenient.

A pattern that smearing, attacking, and destroying the innocents on the other side of the fence, is acceptable, regardless of the truth.

Truth no long matters. But destroying the lives and reputation of others is justified as long as they belong to the opposite.

Here are the dots to connect the pattern:
    Accusations of infidelity
    Sexual harassment
    Russian Collusion
    Etc.

If you can't get the Power,
then destroy the ones who are in charge of the Institution,
Or destroy the fabric of the institution.

    In other words,
    if I can't have it,
Then you can't have it either.
