I recently received a package from Glock Professional. When I opened it, I found a Glock field knife, but no letter of explanation as to why they sent it to me. Does anyone know what's up with this? My thanks to Glock, for whatever reason they sent me this gift.

Did you work as an RO at any GSSF Match recently?

Nope, I haven't worked as an RO. Maybe it is their new letter opener. It looks like it would impale a telephone book, so I'm pretty sure it could slice open an envelope without too much trouble.:)

Friends in low places say that if you are Terry I***, of 4*** R********* Road, P*****, OH, 4****, at the Marietta, Ohio GSSF match you picked up and filled out a sheet that is intended for Range Officers only. The "default option" "RO Goodie" is a knife.

Our Friends say to keep the knife with Glock's compliments and be the terror of phone books everywhere.

They WILL expect to see you at future matches, however.

    Norske,

Yep, that's me. Thanks for the explanation. I'll be at the Lexington shoot later this month. Maybe I can find another one of those sheets!

Naw,ede, I'm kinda in the "been there and done that" mode with GSSF-especially after the way I'm getting stiffed on the RO stuff.
KY sure is a nice shoot-my favorite part was always the drive home-KY hills in the Fall colors and all...

    PART II...
Posted a note about this over in the "Indy Glockers" section...
and it seems the no-one that worked the Indy shoot has gotten what GSSF promised.

Rikki...hows my favorite Ro....I will never forget that water and chair you offered after my hip surgery ....

Could be things and Money may be an issue....I still owe the IndyGlockers about (18) plaques dating back to the first of June since the Fort Smith match, have not received anything yet from GSSF...cash flow does make or break a business...I know that does not help...but sharing the wealth or lack of it might appease the soul.

Well I RO'ed Jackson NJ and still have not received the RO gifts or the gun I won. BUT the GSSF staff was on the road and had several 2 match weekends, That backed them up quite a bit and they are just now getting caught up. Give them time and I am sure all will work out. They really keep a rough scedguel and don't have enought time when they get back to Glock. They barely have the time to gear up to get to the next shoot. J.Michael

Since the Indy match, there have been 15 weekends.

On those 15 weekends, GSSF has done 13 matches.

There are only 4 people who travel to all of those matches.

Of those 4 people, only ONE of them gathers together and ships the RO awards.

What little time that person has to spend in the office is primarily spent gathering and shipping items needed for upcoming matches. Targets. Pasters. Scoresheets.

It does NO good to have spent a few days getting RO awards caught up, only to find that by taking the time to do that BEFORE you shipped a set of targets to an upcoming match, that the targets did not GET THERE in time for the match.

Time demands of upcoming matches MUST take priority over the demands of past matches.

That is all there is to it.

Sorry...that is an excuse for not having enough people to properly service your customers, although it may be VERY TRUE.When you do not properly maintain a promise and are looking for the next match...you are saying goodbye to last week and lets book next weeks revenue. If thats a mission statement of Customer Service....you will fail...my .02$

I really hope I misunderstood your statement above :horse: :horse: :horse:
