    More than likely it was because the forum rules were violated.

    I don't recall the thread in question, but G17 is probably right on the mark about why it was deleted.

    Oh well.

    I know it was getting heated, but I did not see it go that far.

    I thought the standard was to lock the thread, not delete it, that is why I was asking.

    as I said, I don't recall that thread, so this is just a general comment relating to how I do it. Usually I will just lock a thread rather than delete, but there are circumstances (links to porn, publicizing a GT member's private info, etc., that dictate the thread be closed so no one can act on that information. Also, on occasion there is a thread that is questionable that might be moved to the Back Office for an Administrator to look at it. If that happens, it would be the same as if deleted (no longer visible in the original forum). Hope that helps answer you.
