    Seriously: If you have a generator, now would be a good time to make sure you have enough gas on hand.

    Well as long as you can eat enough beans to keep it going. . .

    I alway keep some Gas and Diesel fuel on hand for the big Tractor, Zero Turn Mower, small Tractor and Truck and Chevy and gas generator.
    But I really don't have, the probably, couple hundred gallons of gas on hand that it would take to run the generator for days.

    Back when the Electric power wasn't as reliable as now days, I use to keep a couple 55 gallon drums full of Gas, for the Generator, etc.

    OP, @wjv that is good advice.

    Mine is dual fuel. I only have 15 gallons of non-ethanol gasoline and four 20-lb tanks of propane but that is enough to keep me going for a couple days while I drive however many hours it requires to get some more.

    And @wjv don't forget oil changes too!

    Will propane work? :dunno:

    Or do you need to get spendy and buy an adaptor-thingy? :headscratch:

    For me it is the start of hurricane season. We get a storm heading our way people get squirrelly.

    Oil changes often forgotten. IIRC mine says something like every 40 hours of runtime.

    And while you are at it, make sure you run it occasionally as well, so it works when you need it.

    Being able run on natural gas makes a lot of sense, maybe not for TEOTWAWKI but for normal power outages.

    A lot of RV generators run on diesel or gas. Not sure Onan makes a dual fuel, wonder if they can be converted

    That's great, if you have natural gas service in your area;

    For a lot of us, though, it's gasoline, diesel, or propane from a tank, since that's what is available .....

    None. This came directly to our operations center as we are a major power provider.
