Just saw this post. No worries about disagreeing with me as that is what this site is here for. We are in agreement that it is an absolute shame that legally the rifle needs to be destroyed. I don't like the idea of any firearm being destroyed, much less one that is as old and with as much history as that one likely has. Unfortunately though, that is the law of the land whether we like it or not. Despite the age and sentimental value, I am sure you can agree that keeping it is far from worth the possible loss of freedom if BATFE were to somehow find out that it was in someones possession.
