If the creme de la creme of our government brains formed a Committee andworked on the economic issue and couldnt arrive at a result to prevent sequestration......WHY ARE THEY STILL EMPLOYED????

In the private sector they would have been FIRED for their inability to create the result.

    WHY ARE THEY STILL EMPLOYED?????

Perhaps because there hasn't been an election recently. Also perhaps they might be fired in November of this year.

Who hires and fires the people you're talking about? You do know mismanagement keeps non-productive people on in every type of industry in the world as well, right?

....because they are elected represenatives of the people. The people will get a chance to 'fire' them at a later date.

Well... I would venture a guess that too many Americans are too ignorant to vote properly is why they haven't been fired.
