I was watching the Barrett-Jackson marathon this weekend on SPEED. A certain black survivor 1971 340 'Cuda brought some memories back of my car that I foolishly sold. So I penned a few words about it.

Lessons Learned: Never Sell a Prized Mopar Musclecar

Anybody else ever have these same feelings? I'm still kicking myself to this day. [IMG]

My first car was a '73 Cuda with a 340. I pushed that thing more than I drove it. Good riddance (but it was a blast when it ran! :) )

A few years back, I owned a '91 Nissan Sentra SE-R! I regret selling that car cause it was red and FAST but it had to go cause it couldn't pass our state emissions test! :crying:

AWESOMO, Sorry to hear you got rid of the Cuda. They are so nice and make great cars for Sunday driving and cruising nowadays!

I got my 1969 Charger R/T in 1977 and have been hounded to sell it so many times I have lost count! It is undergoing a full rotisserie restoration right now and will stay with me as long as I can enjoy it.

    It ain't going nowhere!

Had my 1973 Dart 340 Sport. Petty blue with white half vinyl top and white stripe up over the roof. Wish I stall had it it was soooo nice that it would make people sick at how clean it was for a daily driver. I also had a 1969 Super Bee my senior year in high school that onlt cost me 900.00 dollars in 1972. I also had a perfect 1976 black Trans AM that i had for 3 years and sold with 9000 miles on it. It sat covered up most of the time.

If Hugo had not put a pine tree on my 1970 Road Runner I'm sure that I would still have it.

I sold my 1970 Challenger 440 back in 1982. I did miss it...

Until I spent 4 years in Germany driving the autobahn. I drove cars that would drive for hours faster than the Dodge could do in a straight line. Cars that could take 90 degree corners at 50 mph and stay in their lane. Cars that were a joy to drive on winding roads. Cars that could stop when needed. Cars that would actually start in cold weather without trying to stall every time you brought them down to idle the first 20 minutes. Cars with seats that tried to keep you in them, not sliding out of them in a turn. Cars that had something other than plastic and vinyl interiors.

What do I remember most about that car? 11 MPG! and Jimmy Carter killing my paycheck at the gas station. Ahh...it was fun, at times, but there are other cars I'd rather have back.

My father sold a Super Bee (Hemmi engine) back in the mid/late 70's. He STILL brings it up occassionally LOL. On the bright side my next door neighbor growing up has/still has 2 cherry hemmi 'cuda's, the poor guy can't go to a car show without guys trying to buy the cars off of him on the spot.

I do miss my old Dodge at times. Sold that one a long time ago, along with lots of other classic muscle cars during the 1970s.

I usually end up in tears watching Barrett Jackson auctions, I can't believe how much money I could have right now if I'd just kept a hold of some of the vehicles I've owned.

I regret selling my 66 Dodge Coronet 500. I bought it off the original owner. It was a sweet ride until I let my brother borrow it. Never let your brother borrow your ride, it's a lesson I learned the hard way.

    I had a 71 Duster w/340 & a 69 Road Runner w/440

Both of them were factory badged with their perspective cartoon characters & worth a freaking fortune now.
