I have some questions about selling a gun on this site. Can I sell to an individual like I can through the newspaper or ad papers? Do I have I have to ship to an FFL dealer? If you can fill me in on any more info it would be a big help.
    Thank you

This is covered by the state's law in which the buyer resides. I believe the majority of states require that guns be shipped to an FFL dealer so that the buyer can fill out a DROS (dealer record of sale).

    Dear doom,

To purchase or sell a firearm from or to a person who lives in another state you must go through an FFL. These are links to the US Code and ATF which will explain it for you:
    http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/18/922.html look at (a)(3)&(5)
    http://www.atf.treas.gov/firearms/faq/faq2.htm#b1 look at (B1)(B2)(B3)

It is also illegal under federal law to sell to certain individuals if you have reason to believe that they are a convicted felon, etc... Scroll down to (d) in the US Code link that I provided. This applies to purchasers in your home state as well. There is also the possibility that your state may have regulations as well so you should look into that. Stay safe, Gary
