Looking to sell a G17 gen 3 at a LGS or gun show. The gun was purchased new in 2016 and has 2200 rounds of range ammo through it. What should I ask and what should I expect to get?

I have regretted every 17 I sold. To me the 17 is the Holy Grail of Glock. But since you asked I say a fair asking price is around $410-430 in my area in Tn .

That is one Glock I would never sell. What I have learned about new Glocks is buy what you will keep because the resale value is less than what they are really worth.
I wouldn't sell for less than 400.00, I guess that's why I have so many Glocks.
Some people buying at gun shows do so because they can't pass a background check.

I agree, I would never sell a G17 if that was the only one I had, thats the original standard model, if it works good, I would hold on to it.

400 would be the going rate in Georgia. Once the supply of Gen 3 dwindles as they become a California or special order only item, they may increase slightly in value. I’d wait to sell until the 2020 election cycle, since people will be going nuts over-buying then.

    On what planet?
Even here where it seems like every gun shop charges near MSRP, they are under $600.

I’d say 400-425 is reasonable. If you were from my area near Cleveland, OH you would be asking 550 and reposting it every day because you are not willing to negotiate and take a fair offer.

350 to 400 is about right if the gun looks excellent and has all the stuff it came with. if it has any super advanced parts put it back to stock as most of us don’t want odd parts in there.
