I read the first three Amazon reviews on the product that popped up when I searched to find out what it was. Two out of three had inline dimmers melt.

I don't like having candles either.

They look cool but I don't get the new age mumbo jumbo about ions and theta waves from the ones made from Tibetan pink salt. That is the rage with the hippies here.

I've got one, it looks cool and is actually somewhat relaxing with the odd light it gives off. I have mine in the bay window of the living room......That was my Christmas tree this year.

The wife bought one of the Tibetan pink salt ones. She gave another one to her brother. He was joking with me doing a meditation Om.

My wife has one. I never asked what it's supposed to do. She also occasionally goes to some salt cave spa thing.

She also bought some sort of goofy salt grinder/shaker with Himalayan pink salt, so I had to buy my own Morton's.

I read there is a recall on them for a fire hazard and told the ladies at the clinic about it, they were not happy.

I did a bunch of research about them a couple years ago when a friend bought one to help his allergies. I came up with nothing objectively credible to suggest they do anything near the claims made. And no, it did not help his allergies. Anecdotal cases can have some value but based on the science you'd have to hover close to it all of the time for the negative ions to have any effect. One of those negative ion electric air filters would do a lot more if that's what you're looking for.

Cool looking, you're out a few bucks, but don't expect miracles.

It's good tasting salt. Better than processed table salt but it's still just salt with trace minerals. There are lots of good salts out there.

I already do that to most desk lamps, but I am cutting back on sodium.
