I prefer the #2 square drive.

The size of the bit doesn't matter...how you use it what counts...

The top hinge holds the weight of the door. Period. Screw accordingly.

#2 is the most common Phillips size used.
In my tool kit, I've got the 'shortie' bits, and some of the double-headed bits.
Also, short, medium and long extensions.

With 'power' (corded and cordless) driving of screws used more and more, I'm using Phillips head screws, less and less.

The square drive (like used in the Kreg system) and the Torx head screws are even better.
They're fantastic, and no "cam out". Period.

Keep a good supply of all of them on-hand, and you'll be ready to screw anything that comes along!

    :)

I have several of those 6 n 1 screwdrivers around the house. They have two bits for phillips. I also have a bunch of the bits mentioned in my tool box for a driver.
