I am looking for hotel/resorts in the Scottsdale area the first week in March. About a week stay.
Any suggestions for accommodations? I looked on the interwebs of course, lots to choose from.
    How about Airbnb?

I've stayed at the "Paradise Valley Resort" a few times for business.

A decent place with a good bar and restaurant. Views from the rooms were nice.

I just didn't care for Scottsdale that much.

I've also stayed at the nearby hotel/resort at the reservation, where there is gaming. I don't gamble, so everything else was pretty far away.

If you golf, I understand that there are many good courses there. I don't golf either.

But I did go to the Dillion Precision factory. There is a free tour and product knowledgeable folks - so if you own a Dillion and have questions - or just want to visit the mothership...... Takes about an 1-1.5 hours. (Glad I went, but once was enough).

What part of Scottsdale and what are your interests? Is the company picking up the tab?

We stayed on camelback road just east of Scottsdale road at either holiday inn express or Hampton inn on the north side of the road. Across the street is an entertainment complex. Very hip and happening if you’re into that sort of thing.
If you’re into peaceful seclusion, then one of the resorts might be the way to go.

Checkout VBRO. Or checkout local bed and breakfasts.

Scottsdale is around 20 miles north to south. Need to know the area.

always stay at the Hotel (cannot remember the name) at the corner of Frank Loyd Wright (Bell Road) and Scotsdale Road. There is a Tilted Kilt right there. The hotel is same parking lot as Tilted Kilt.

~ mile West or ~ from Dillon

We have been there a few times before, but its been about 10 years. We will be going to a Cubs game and also to a Nascar race. I have been to the Dillon plant before, and I like to pop in to Air Guns of Arizona in Gilbert. Thinking about staying in Gilbert. Not into the night life, we will be paying ourselves.

We’ve stayed at Royal Palms, staying there again in February for a wedding. It’s very nice. The Phoenix area is expensive during the mild months, that’s for sure.

Nice rooms can be difficult to find during the winter rush, and prices reflect it.

Companion buildings on same resort property, NEQ of Pima Rd., and Chaparral (just west of the 101). Expand the "amenities" section for full list.
Just a couple of miles NE of "downtown/Old Town" Snotsdale if one is interested that area for dining, shopping, clubs. Decent Chicago-style pizza place (Chizona's) delivers from ~a mile NW of the resort; Walmart & Wendy's actual walking distance at intersection of Pima & Chaparral; easy hope on/off the 101.

When I stayed there in April-ish of 2019, the staff was amazing. Their "bistro" had yummy menu items for all three daily meals. Hot tub/jaccuz next to the swimming pool does wonders for bad bones and muscles.

What's an "entertainment complex" for the hipsters?

Several bars and restaurants clustered together. Not so much hipsters, but “beautiful people”

That's what I say about the level, in the Seattle Mariners' stadium that has bars and restaurants that seemse waiters, with menus, into the seating area and bring you whatever.
"That's where the beautiful people watch baseball."

There is a Staybridge hotel at Mclintock and Chandler blvd, near Chandler fashion mall. There is also a Drury Inn at Warner and I-10.
When spring training is going on, book a long time in advance.
If you can push it back to first week in April, the rates will be more reasonable.

My wife and I will be there 3/4 for the Reds vs Cubs game. We might hit the Dodgers vs Giants game that night too.

Now does the room there come with the complimentary STD blood test, or do you have to pay extra for it?
