Hello GT denizens. I picked up a JC Higgins model 51 at the LGS yesterday---it's a factory 30-06 put together by High Standard on a FN Mauser commercial action circa 1955. Can anyone identify the bases that came installed on the action-they are dovetail bases with lugs to prevent setback of the rings under recoil. No rings came with the rifle. Curious if I can get rings for the bases, if not, I'll get the Talleys and put the Talley peep sight on the receiver when I'm not using an optic. Thanks, Dan
