If you have an opinion different from theirs, they want to ruin you. They are trying to make it seem as pro gun people are seen in the same light as sex offenders. That is what they want.

La Mesa resident Emily Green said she would be uncomfortable allowing her two children, currently in preschool and kindergarten, to attend the district school as long as Chong is on the board.

“I feel like it’s a conflict of interest, someone who profits selling AR-15s to be on the school board and making decisions concerning student safety,” Green said.

Here is the one of the men they are against. A business owner, a productive member of the community and they want to ruin him.

Sounds like he is someone that I would like on my son's school board.

And losing the entitles liberal's 2 children from a publicly funded school isn't going to be any sort of loss for the school. It will probably make it a better place without her to disrupt everyone else's education process.

I bet if he were a Marijuana Farmer he would be welcome. Even though he would be in violation of Federal Drug Laws. The Left are very selective Anarchist.:drillsgt:

If enough others feel as does she they can decide to not re-elect him or maybe even force a recall vote. And she certainly can find a different school for her children. And if enough of the community are satisfied with him, they can re-elect him.

I really suspect wearing occupation labels of any kind in these venues would arouse some PC advocates. The petty poorly educated Liberals lust for control. Becoming a PTA or School Board Member allows them power over their schools.
They love an issue they can use to destroy anyone. Maybe Nazism is in some human genetics? :drillsgt:

That's what I've come to believe. Something very bad about human nature itself, where people want to control and destroy each other. That's why communism can't work.

It is also why the American founders were so exceptional, and the Bill of Rights is so important. Individual freedoms.

Such as the freedom to legally sell guns, and not be persecuted :)

Miserable people want everyone else to be miserable, it gives them a sense of control. Reason is secondary.

Wtf does a position on gun control have to do with being on a school board?

Suspect there are some who would poo in their own lunch box to have something to whine about.

These are the kinds of questions that need to be put to people like the woman in the OP. Make them explain the reasoning behind their positions and expose the lack of foundation for them.

Our little Western town passed a law allowing armed teachers in our public schools. We are suffering the California invasion like many towns.
The new refugees raised 145 names opposed to our Pro-Gun stance. There are 146 California invaders. We will win but these people are bringing their socialism inland. They are wearing out their welcome.:drillsgt:

The same thing has been happening in my state too. The great state of Oregon is no longer the state that I grew up in. The influx of Californians and their attitudes have so permeated the politics here that I fear that our state is lost. It hurts me to say this, but It's true and It's a damn shame.

Well, that's just sad. A successful local businessman used to be a welcome addition to promote their efforts for such civic responsibilities.

I spent a lot of my childhood years in the area (El Cajon, Lakeside, San Diego) in the middle & late 50's and early 60's. My brother was born in La Mesa. Who'd have thought the area would turn out to become what it is today?

One of the school board members in my district frequently shares NRA and other pro-gun memes and postings in his Facebook. No repercussions that I know of at this point.

Laughed when I read line in the article that said "taking firearms policy advice from kids that were eating Tide pods last week"
