*EDIT* Nope. Not worth it. I have to stop doing this, too.
I always liked the Michigan State Police Camaro and Mustang when they came out.
Years ago when I worked in Kentucky they had Camaro SS LS1 cars. Not sure how many, or what year. But they were made 1998-2002. Saw a couple. You cant tell year by looking at it. Only general years by the wheels. But these new cars are way faster!
I had burgandy one.
Remember working a MVA on N.C./S.C. line I-95 . A S.C. trooper had one in real green with a 5 speed manual. He advised me that it was 2nd one because the other one gotta away from him. Love that car. Thanks for sharing.
It's nice to see you again. I hope all is well.
I test drove an ex police Mustang years ago with a 5 speed. I decided on a hatchback instead. I'd like to go back in time and change my mind. It was tight and solid far beyond the one I ended up with. And it had a huge domelight.
I have one in my garage retired.
Didn’t think they would either.
The Troopers here had some of the Mustangs. They liked the performance but they said they had problems when they had to transport prisoners because of the lack of interior room.
I'm told that the Camaro is even worse - like driving down the road in an armored pillbox or something.
South Carolina looked at those in the late 80s/early 90s. Problem was the air dam kept getting ripped off when coming out of a ditch.
that is a mean looking 4 cylinders car.
Bunch of poors.....
THIS is a real police car......
and don’t even get me started on getting in and out of one on traffic stops all day. You’ll have a permanent knot on the side of your head from hitting it on the door frame so many times
The ghetto Bentley
And I'm not G30's woman, although he's definitely my brother.
I remember seeing those around the Turnpike as a kid. I always took extra notice as my pops was a Mustang guy, with sometimes as many as four Steeda 5.0's (and later Steeda or Saleen 4.6 Cobras) in the driveway at one time.
That's the photo FL. has posted on the vote for the best State patrol car poll. I voted Ohio.
