sausages pushers

    Anybody roll their own sausages? I have a czech made grinder with sausge nozzle but having problems with getting the meat clogged in the discharge nozzle and plate. So does anybody use a seperate sausage pusher when makin sausages?

    Using almost frozen cubed meat helps prevent this...

    Room temp means mooshy meat that will just squoosh up on the discs...

    So are you using a seperate crank or push pusher or using the grinder? My grinder has 2 plates for 3/16 and 3/8 (IIRC) holes and even with semi-frozen meats it still jams up some.

    Add some cold water to your sausage to get it to flow smoothly.
