Ladies and Gentlemen, does anyone have experience with the Safariland ALS line regarding whether to use a threadlocker such as Loctite on the paddle / belt loop atachment screws? Thanks.

With time I have had to Loctite my IWB holster screws and my belt buckle screws. The belt screws are "Chicago Screws" and it's difficult to really crank on them.

The holster belt clip screws are in T nuts and the slight back and forth rotation would loosen them up over time.

Anything other than Blue Loctite and you will never get it loose, in the event you need to remove it. Red and green Loctite are considered permanent thread locker.
Just so you know.

A drop of brake cleaner will dissolve red locktite in heart beat. :(

Just don't use it on ALL plastics is all - or at least BE CAREFUL of the KIND of plastic you use it on - brake clean WILL melt SOME plastics :( :( :(

Glock frames and Glock FACTORY internal plastic parts are fine - I clean mine with the industrial stuff we get of a 55 gal drum (auto industry) all the time.

It will NOT hurt anything METAL on Glock, at least not on any of the seventeen or so I've owned.

I know of which you speak, Eric. I keep Berryman's around my garage, and it sure will eat plastics up. Thanks for the dissolving Loctite tip. In the many years I have "twisted wrenches" on car, motorcycles, carburetors, and guns, I never thought to try that. Does make sense, however. Thanks again.
