Tough SOB fights through tours in the '80s and retires, joins back up in a recon regiment and loses his foot to a landmine in '03,he comes back and trains through paratrooper training with vigorous hand to hand on a prosthetic foot, survives a firefight killing insurgents, later shields a wounded private from a rpg blast with his body taking shrapnel and then takes out the shooter and a machinegun while continuing to lead his unit, and then years later back home he loses control of his bike hits the curb and goes tumbling to his death.

Oh Well, was his time to go. He could have had a heart attack on the bowl while taking a dump.

I can somewhat relate. After 15+ years in the Army/Army National Guard and 2 tours in Iraq without a scratch... I was hit by an SUV while riding my motorcycle. Now I'm a paraplegic and am still having continuing medical complications due to the accident. It's been a year and a half now. Not to mention the knucklehead that hit me was uninsured and knowingly had an illegal license plate on the vehicle. Guess that's just the way life is.

God bless you SGT ... thank you for your service.

I was very blessed, hit a car head on in 1981 on my GS750 Suzuki and lived to tell about it (guy did the infamous left turn in front of me).

Not hardly the same. If you decide to ride a motorcycle, then you decide to put yourself at greater risk of getting killed. There's no argument here.
