Sounds like a good deal. Looking forward to your range report.
Shot one at the local range today. It's the real deal and got me thinking of picking one up. Good deal for you.
Congrats. I have the full sized SR1911 and love it.
A friend just got one, and brought it over for a test run. Shoots great, BUT damm, that thing just dents the case mouths almost half way closed!!! We tried several loads, as well as factory win white box---all with same results. He took it home and had to remove some metal around the ejection port, and slightly re-shape the ejector. Another test revealed the problem solved. I would be interested to know if all of them are going to be this hard on brass. My full size ruger 1911 never did this.
Very nice! I wish it were in blue.
Awesome! I now have a new dream gun. Ruger has really put their finger on the pulse of American shooters lately...
Man..still trying to find one of these..I spoke to the owner a few weeks ago of my LGS and he hoped to have a couple in soon...spoke with him yesterday and he said he has now idea when he is getting anything now..If anyone stumbles across one in your local shop and you don't buy it let me know..
WOW, I saw one at a gun show last weekend and they
wanted $895 for it. I was shocked to see the commander
since I have yet to see a Government model and was even
more shocked at the price.
Congrats, some of you guys must really be living life right. I havn't seen a SR1911 in person let alone a commander.
Cabelas has a Ruger Commander under glass. $799, they want.
Picked one up yesterday for $723. My Grips I ordered for my full size are suppose to be here next week so I think I will just put them on the commander..really looking forward to getting it out and shooting..
they are $825.00 around here!
If I could find one for $750 to my door / out the door, I'd buy it on the spot.
I wouldn't take one at any price if it ruins all the brass.
Me too - thats why I will have both. Ruger marketing...
I love my SR1911, its a range shooter for sure!
It seems like the Commander model is more available than the full size model was when it first came out.? I waited over a year to find one.? What a great 1911 it is.
