Just picked up my Ruger PC. I’m looking forward to getting it set up to take Glock mags and put some lead down range. It’s definitely got some heft to it.

Nice. I went with the base model, as I am going to add the Magpul stock when it drops this fall.

$499 at Rural King. Not the best, but not the worst.

I got one when they first came out. Put the Glock adapter in and took it to the range. You will love it. Now get a Kel Tec Sub 2000 to go with it.

I like mine. After I got it I decided to switch sides with the mag release. The other day I stuck an old second generation magazine in it. I had to think about it a minute to realize older GLOCK mags only latch on one side. I thought something had really gone wrong!

It's really not so heavy. What's really fun is when the cowboy shooters move off the rifle range, then I can shoot their silhouettes with my PCC. That hundred yard pig is my favorite!

I have one as well, and I really enjoy mine. It shoots accurately, reliably, and affordably.

I often see the complaint about the little Ruger. “It’s fun but it’s a pig.” is the statement I usually read. And this is occasionally said by fans of the CZ Scorpion carbine and the super cool and expensive Kriss carbine, both of which weigh as much or more.

Mine clocks in around 7#, and I don’t feel that’s heavy at all, certainly as compared to many rifles and shotguns I’ve carried over the years.

Same here, feels fine. I actually weighed it next to a number of ARs, AKs, and shotguns I have and they are all about the same. I think what makes it seem heavy is that it is shooting a pistol caliber as opposed to a more potent rifle caliber so the thinking goes that a lower powered caliber rifle should be less weight. After all, no one complains about a 7 pound AR.

Also, the Ruger balances really well. I have mine set up as a home defense weapon with a light and red dot. Feels solid and reassuring when I pick it up and I know that I can shoot it very fast and very accurately, way more so than any pistol I own .

I love Rugers and I was thinking of buying this gun but the only thing that changed my mind was the weight. After some research, I chose the SUB 2000 9mm from KEL-TEC, which uses G17 mags and the Glock Stick Mags! I saved a bunch of money and it has worked great!

Shot mine for the second time the other day. I was sighting in a Nikon fixed 3x32 P223 scope. I am amazed at how accurate it is and I was shooting bulk Federal Black Label 115gr. I really like shooting this carbine a lot. Hard to believe this is the same ammo I shoot in a 17oz Glock 43 due to the blow back design and a 7lb carbine!

I own both and like both but the Kel-Tec build quality is nowhere near the Ruger PC. They both have their place in different roles. Good that we have good choices.

I like mine. Only add on was a red dot sight. The factory irons are very hard to pick up on my tri focal glasses.

I feel the same way about mine. But I do have 2 Sub 2000s glock mag style. 9mm & .40.

I am hoping they produce a 5.7 version that takes the Ruger 57 mags

They are nice little rifles imo.

My grandsons fight over who gets to shoot it first when we go out to the family farm.

Mine is set up with simple TRS dot and set up for Glock mags.

I'm going to add a gripe, admittedly minor, that I've posted before and have sent to Ruger as well.

PLEASE someone come up with a simple hand guard, similar to the original Ruger PCs, that covers the top of the barrel to the end of the forearm a la M1 Carbine. Not really interested in a rail section, but if you have to, okay. Just plain simple handguard like Choate used to offer for 10-22s, M1 Carbine, Mini 14, etc.

Would make breaking down a hot barrel more pleasant and imo would look great on the rifle.

    Just my $.02
