What did IT shoot like before it went back for the recall?

Update: traded it for a Glock 34 Gen 4 plus cash. Jury still out.
Someone gave you a Gen4 G34 and cash for your used Ruger MK-IV?
Why don't these manufacturers take a prototype out to the range and shoot several thousand rounds through it to see if there are any problems? How much would that cost as opposed to the Ruger recall? Remington for example; with their little 9mm POC. Who got fired for that fiasco?

I didn't either. Any issues involved were very easy to fix. Even my helper "Dick" could see what the issues involved were. The free magazine was very enticing for many though:

I like the MKIV take down feature - but not enough for me to part from my MKIII Target model ... *For MKIII take down , I send my MKIII to the MIT mechanical engineering lab (lol !!)
There is a simple fix for that, if interested.
