Well, I decided to violate my rule of waiting a year before getting a newly released pistol. I traded for an LCP II 22lr this morning to try it out. Hope to get back out to the range this week and try it out.

Good luck. Stay away from Federal AutoMatch.

22 plinkster had good luck with auto match in his. I’m sure that is pistol dependent.

Several folks over at RugerForum have also reported issues with AutoMatch. My LCP has the same problem that my SR22 had. The ammo doesn't have enough power to fully cycle the slide reliably. I end up with the fired casing still in the chamber and the hammer not cocked

First mag of MiniMags 3 failures to fire. All 3 were heavily indented by firing pin.
    Next 190 rounds were flawless.

Kept most of each 10 round mag on or very near 3 inch target dots at 20 yards.

Put the first 100 rounds thru mine. Had a few FTF with CC Mini Mags.

The ammo had sat in the garage a few years so hopefully that is the excuse.

No issues with the first unopened box.

Fun little gun and might make a great ankle gun. Hope the kinks work out but it might be relegated to a range toy.

My Beretta 21a is a bit too quirky but mostly reliable.

Should have just bit the proverbial bullet and got a S&W 43c or the Ruger version.

Hopefully, but don't count on it. Mine gets 1 or 2 light strikes per 100 rounds with Mini Mags, and I've seen others also reporting issues with them, including the owner of my LGS/range who told me that he sees light strikes in his rental guns with Mini Mags.

That's different. Min-Mags are my most dependable round. Both round nose and HP. CCI Blazer is also the best bulk around in my experience.

Got my LCP back from Ruger today.

They replaced the entire slide assembly including barrel.

I rec'd two silicone Ruger gun cloths for my trouble. A mag or two would have been more welcome.

Hope it runs good for you post-repair.

My nephew brought his new LCP 22 up to my range last week to try out. I had 15 different types of 22 ammo and we couldn't get his pistol to run more than 2-3 shots at a time with any of them without a jam. He was very disappointed. I suggested that he send it back to Ruger.

Gun Test's just had a article about the S&W, Glock 44, and LCP .22. They rated the LCP above the G44 in reliability.

Have you had the opportunity to try it out again since you got it back? I still haven't been able to test mine out yet.
