    Hopefully an easy question...

I also picked up a Ruger 10/22 take-down model today.

Does anyone know how to remove the butt plate on the synthetic stocks to allow access to the hollow core space.

On my Marlin Papoose, I use the stock space to store spare magazines and ammo.

I would like to do the same on the Ruger.

    Any advise is welcome.

Unless Ruger has changed their synthetic stocks for the TD, I believe the butt-plate is glued/melted in place.
