Ruger American Pistol Competition

  1. Looks good, but I still have not gotten an answer to "Have they reduced the number, and complexity of small fragile parts in the trigger?" The folks that have them are gushing until I ask that and then...crickets.
  2. I'm not sure if the trigger assembly is changed or not.

That said I wasn't aware there was a problem with these components.

I visited the RugerForum and looked back a year and only found 1 RAP issue, but it was a recall for high round count 9mm RAP frame cracking.

Lots of questions about the LCP and LCP II. Not much reported on RAP.
  3. I love my Ruger American. No trigger issues here.
  4. When you are running over 25,000 rounds a year in competition, there will be. Ruger is not production hardened enough for USPSA.
  5. It's my wife's car gun so we are good ;)
  6. The only shooters that I have seen running Rugers are complete newbies. After the 3rd match, they have a Glock or CZ.
  7. Not a fan of the Ruger American, so I doubt I’ll like this.
