I still have my G22 and a G23 both with gills and both un-fired. IMO the RTF2 is Glocks best grip
I have one.
A G.22 & G.17 are up for auction on Gunbroker right now
I usually see a couple a month posted there
I think they only made them in 2009..
I have a NIB G19 RTF2 with gills i bought in 2009.I take it out of my safety deposit box every 4 months to oil it.If you lived in OKlahoma i might be willing to sell it.
G19 rtf with gills are rare.
I bought a 17 and 22 new w gills a few years ago..
I like the gills and the rtf finish.. hate gen 3
I’m a huge fan of the RTF2- particularly in a non-gilled 19.
Not a 19 but I love my 17 texture for shooting, hate it for carrying. It makes a great nightstand gun!
My 17 RTF2 with gills is one of the old originals, NSR651. It's no good for CCW but for anything else it's a really sweet 9mm pistol, one of my favorites of the many I've owned.
Why do you say its no good for CCW?
The 17 Ive been carrying every day for about the past 10 years now, is #NSR5xx.
The grip texture is just too aggressive for me. The area around my right kidney looked like I'd survived a shark attack.
Ive heard others make similar comments. I wear a tee-shirt between me and the gun, and its never been an issue for me.
I also havent seen my clothes being torn up by it either. Same goes for the guns Ive stippled.
I put a pachmayr tacital grip sleeve on my G23RTF that I carry so its the same as the rest of glocks.
