Who is issued it and who uses their own? I use a G17 RTF2 with "gills" and love it. It's awesome on those hot training days when your hands are covered in sweat. Many complain the grip tears up your uniform, but I've never had a problem. As long as your gut isn't overlapping your duty belt.

I carry an RFT2 model 22 concealed and it hasn't destroyed anything.

I just stippled my gen3. It was a lot cheaper (free) and I like it better than the factory RTF.

I am issued a RTF 22 and love the gun. The "gills" as you call it, our department patch and name engraved on the slide and the sandpaper grip make the gun look real sharp. I went through the academy in July in Iowa so it got real warm. The grip was awsome while sweating.

Love the RTF, its a love/hate thing. Some hate, some love them. I Have a G17 that i use for competitions. Duty G23 is standard with a Talon grip. Best I can do to get a similar feeling.

Now if Glock would make a Gen 4 in RTF2.....
