A while back, I bought a Colt Commander from Chuck Rogers.
It was built for a friend on Chuck's, while it was nearly perfect for me, the previous
owner had a arched MSH installed. Chuck expertly modified the heel of the frame and
the MSH to what he called a "round butt" treatment. This is a very slight rounding of the
lower corner of the frame and housing.
I decided a flap MSH would suit my shooting style and grip a tad better. I ordered a blued
MSH and blended as per the pics below. It was then polished & cold blued.
    Any thoughts,........?
As received from Chuck with the arched MSH.

    Very nicely done.

Did you do the reblue yourself too?

    It came out perfectly.

Thanks Guys,.......two hours with files & sand paper in hand.
Makes you REALLY appreciate a good Pistol Smith's true talent and passion!

Yes, I used a bit of Blue Wonder for the touch-up.

Yeah, it takes guts. Good for you. It looks great. I've been wanting to do that to a couple of carry 1911's for several yrs. It will sure help to lessen the printing through your shirt.

It was JUST a main spring housing. :dunno:
Chuck did all the hard frame work, I just tried to match the MSH to it.

I like it. Wilson Combat does that on their compact frame models as well.

Nah, nice EVHCT's. I like that build, it's unique and I suspect very effective.

Indeed, there may be more "technically proficient" guitar players out there, but none more innovative or influential.

Amen to that. And those more "technically proficient" players, still have Eddie to thank for quite a bit. He was a true pioneer and is a genius in his own right. :)
