Hey american lockpicker, do you approve of Idi Amin Dada, Papa Doc Duvalier and Theoneste Bagosora? Or do you only approve of mass murderers who operate as declared communists?

You realised wrong although I'm sure West Virginia can be mistaken for some where in the EU since theres places like Lubeck and Vienna near where I live.

Also interestingly enough your not the first person to make this mistake in less than a week...

Also I wasn't brainwashed my support of socialism and communism is based on my personal beliefs.

@ G26S239 No also I don't approve of Pol Pot. I do like Stalin as he freed the world from Nazism.

So which communist mass murderers do you approve of and why did Pol Pot not make your approved list? I infer from your having used Che Guevara, Fidel Castro and Joe Stalin as avatars that you approve of them. What makes the mass murders perpetrated by those three qualitatively better or acceptable versus Pol Pots use of the same method to control the survivors?

If they are on my avatar I approve of them and I don't condone mass murder. Also you have to consider Pol Pot killed people that were educated, wore glasses, ate eggs, lived in cities, and many more stupid reasons while the others just got rid of people that opposed them.

And why did they do that? Over regulation (Mostly Democrats pushing that agenda) over taxation (Whoops! Democrats again!) and Unions... When they could no longer compete locally because of these things and a few others, they did the next logical thing. Moved to where the climate was better for production and profit.

Yeah... they are not doing so well either. About the only nation that seems to be really hanging in there is Switzerland and unless you have lots of $$$ and a damn good reason, you are not living there either.

Haiti is a Republic, not a Constitutional one but a Republic...

Jamaica is a constitutional parliamentary democracy and a Commonwealth realm

    Mexico is a Federal Republic...

Now, something to look at, while they are various forms of a Republic they all have several things in common. Go read up on them and tell us what they are. A hint, corruption.

Sorry but we are all capitalists, Libertarians and Republicans... we made our way you make your own. The opportunities are out there, you have to apply yourself... wait, there's the crux of the issue... you don't want to work or do anything! You expect it to be done for you! Sorry, that's not how the United States was built. You want it... you work your ass off for it like everyone else. The only hand out you will see from me is a swift kick in the ass and a smack upside the head.

I worked myself out of poverty into a middle class standing. Was it easy? Nope. Hard as hell, but damn well worth it. And you or anybody else doesn't have a right to my fruits of my labors. It's that simple.

Wow, Just wow. (wanted to get a comment in before thread gets locked)
On another note though, manufacturing, industrialism, and all those other things that made AMERICA GREAT will return once oil hits over $200/barrel. It will be "too expensive" to import inferior products, and we can return to products that are built to last!

The number is closer to 40-50 million and they were educated . . . the "intelligencia." Pol Pot was a piker compared to Stalin and Mao.

I saw a couple of places that had the numbers you posted as well and since there was conflicting info I decided to err on the side of caution, but I can easily believe that many were exterminated. Just amazing these fools, no?

Are you aware of the mass genocide Stalin committed....like Pol Pot..on his people? Millions my friend. Do you homework if you were not aware of it. Horrible....makes the Germans look timid.

That is the problem with many that are sympathetic to the socialism/communism method of life and government. They see the utopian dream which is unattainable, they fail to see the rampant hypocricy present upon the leadership (they all are...ask the former Soviets about toilet paper) and they are in flat denial about the human rights abuse that THEY the left wing wackos always deal out.

Are you Cuban? I see Fidel's photo. My best friend of 35 years is the son of a Cuban immigrant that escaped Cuba on his second attempt. He stood before Fidel on his first attempt and capture. He survived jail, etc because he was a doctor. Ask him what he thinks about Cuba under Fidel. I worked in Miami for a while. Let me tell you, most Cuban Americans are awesome, flag waiving, patriotic die hard capitalists that believe in the American way. Ask them what they think about communism and the family they have still living in Cuba.

And Israel doesn't receive billions of dollars in foreign aid or enjoy the umbrella of protection the United States provides either.

Israel has a capitalist economy. It is true that the kibbutzim are collectives, but they exist in a free-market economy.

The only thing I liked about Ronald Reagan was his stand against Communism and Socialism, other than that he sucked.

Everytime the mention the economy they always say it has not been this bad in 27 years, or unemployement has not been this bad in 25 years. Well guess who was president back then.

Reagan not only deal directly with terrorist in Iran who would later blow up the embassy in Beruit, he also helped create Saddam Hussain, Osama Bin Laden, and deficit spending.

I don't know why so many Republicans worship him.

Dang....what history books, newspapers, etc were you reading bubba?? :whistling:

No president makes everyone happy, nor is every decision great, etc. Hindsight is also 20/20.

Reagan was LIGHTYEARS better than Nixon, Ford or Carter. I mean....listen to Carter today. Does he sound like a rational leader and man of intellect to you?? The man is a monkey and he was our president. Iran hostage was a horrible ordeal. Compared to those clowns, yes Reagan was awesome.

Too bad modern Republicans aren't like Reagan (publicly stated he) was.

The bank bailouts proved that a free market economy was never really a Republican agenda. "Free market" means that what works stays, and what fails, fails.

Reagan spoke of incentives - my only true incentive, now, is to get into one of the industries that were so wrongly protected, and to make the right friends.
